DAYLIGHT AT THE STABLES; AN ATTEMPT TO CAPTURE FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY WITH MY HELIOS 44M

Writer: Raymond BirdRaymond Bird

Tanya took me to the stables to see Dan (Tanya's Horse). I thought a good opportunity to take some photos of Dan with Tanya. However, Dan was out in the fields munching grass and we ran out of time to get to see Dan. I was amazed at how the sunlight pierced the inside of the very dark stabes and just fell on objects lighting them far better than I could in the studio. As I walked into the stables this cheeky horse stuck his head into the sunlight and the shot was easy.

On the walk down to try and find Dan I came across this gate in the natural sunlight through the trees. Again you could not replicate the lighting it is just there waiting to be shot. I got some great fine art photos that day but unfortunately we never found Dan.
